- Spelling – Each week students will be given a spelling list. Students will need to practise these words daily. Students will need to find the meanings of the words, and then put them into sentences to clarify their understanding.
- Mathematics – Students will be given a Mental Maths task each week.
- Talk Homework – Talk homework is designed to get students thinking about their writing task of the week. Students will need to discuss the weekly picture prompt with members of their household. Talk homework is extremely helpful for students when they complete their writing task.

Welcome back to Term 3.
The students have returned eager to learn, and are working towards meeting the learning goals they set for themselves at the beginning of the term.
While it may only be Week 3, we already have so much to celebrate.
Well done to Lucas, Pelin, Jessmary, Kris and Laylah who all received awards for their wonderful performance in the Principal’s Challenge. You should all be immensely proud of your efforts.
Congratulations to the elected Semester Two Student Councillors, Laylah and Kris. We know you will be fabulous representatives of Room 26. Well done to all students who nominated themselves for the positions. It is outstanding to see the leadership qualities in the classroom.
After receiving an award for the wonderful progress the class has made in Literacy Pro, it is important students continue to read and complete quizzes.
Homework this term will continue with the same format as Semester One and will be posted on the classroom blog.
Term 3 looks to be another busy and fun term. Keep an eye on the blog to keep up to date with our latest adventures.
